Manasi Joshi is an Indian Para-Badminton athlete, who won the trophy in women’s single in 2019 Para Olympics which was held at St. Jakobshalle in Basel, Switzerland. At the age of six, she started playing badminton together with her father. Her father may be a retired scientist from the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre. thanks to her interest in badminton, she continued her game and won several medals in Para-Badminton.
In the year 2015, she participated in Para-Badminton World Championship held in Stoke Mandeville, England where she won a silver in Mixed doubles. Then within the year 2018, she won a trophy for India at the Asian Para Games held in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Manasi was born in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. Her father name is Girish Joshi who may be a scientist and worked at Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai from 1982 to 2016.
She has two siblings including a brother and younger sister. Manasi’s brother name is Kunjan Joshi who may be an Entomologist researcher and sister name is Nupur Joshi who is a manager of Manshi Joshi. Furthermore, Manasi belongs to Brahmin caste and follows the Hindu religion.
She is an engineer by education qualification. From K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering, Manasi completed her bachelor degree. However, she had a deep interest in computer and science also. Thus, she learned to develop software and worked at ATOS India company located in Pune, Maharashtra as a programmer.

On 2nd December 2011, Manasi is on the thanks to the office on a two-wheeler where she met an accident with a truck. After the accident, Manasi was taken to the nearby hospital where her surgery was done. However, thanks to high infection on the left leg, the doctors need to amputate her leg.
It took 45 days to Manasi to recover the surgery within the hospital. After 45 days, Manasi began to learn to steer with the assistance of prosthetic leg.

After the accident recovery, Manasi began to revisit to the work on Atos company as a software developer. After a 1 year, her company organized a badminton tournament during which Manasi participated. As a result, Manasi won the tournament which was a breakthrough for her.
After that, she decided to play at the higher-level tournament. Thus, she began to specialise in her diet plans and weight loss program.
In 2014, she filed the nomination to seem for Asia Games but, didn’t got selected at the trial level.
After that in December 2014, she played her first match at the national level tournament. At the top of the tournament, she won the silver.
In 2015, she was selected for the fifth Spanish Para-Badminton International Championship. Manasi won silver at Stoke Mandeville, England.
In the next year, she appeared for Para-Badminton Asian Championships. As a result, she won the trophy in catego0ry of women’s singles and doubles.
In 2017, she won the trophy at the Para-Badminton World Championships which was held in Ulsan, South Korea.
For the third time during a row, Manasi won the trophy at Para-Badminton International tournament held in Thailand.
